EXDEV is a contract warning, not a path-string puzzle. Map both paths in the caller’s mount namespace, decide whether atomic rename is required, then stage and verify any cross-filesystem copy before deleting the source.
The named .so may be absent, hidden by the real service context, cached differently, or ABI-incompatible. Build a loader ledger before running ldconfig, exporting LD_LIBRARY_PATH, copying files, or creating symlinks.
“Connection reset by peer” proves that a receive path ended abruptly; it does not name the machine or process that caused it. Preserve the effective curl runtime, byte direction and last completed protocol stage, then correlate the owner before changing TLS, HTTP versions, firewalls or retry policy.
The error names a missing dependency-graph node, not a universal fix. Capture the loaded makefiles, expanded name, file identity and rule search before cleaning or inventing a recipe.
