Kyren Williams scored twice on the ground in the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Rams came back to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24–20 on Sunday, October 4. Philadelphia led 20–10 at halftime, but Los Angeles supplied all 14 points scored after the break.

The finishing runs were only part of the recovery. A fourth-down stop and a forced punt gave the Rams the possessions they needed, while Williams also helped move the offense through the passing game.

A defensive stop opens a 98-yard route back

Philadelphia had a chance to extend its ten-point advantage near the Rams' end zone. The Eagles went for it on fourth down, and an incomplete pass handed possession back to Los Angeles. The score stayed 20–10.

The Rams then covered 98 yards. Williams contributed a reception and a run that helped bring the offense to the goal line before scoring from one yard out. With the extra point, Los Angeles trailed 20–17.

The next stop creates the winning opportunity

The defense forced a three-and-out, giving Matthew Stafford and the offense another possession. Williams eventually finished that drive with a seven-yard run, breaking tackles on his way to the end zone.

The touchdown and extra point put the Rams ahead 24–20. Philadelphia still had a final possession, but Byron Young recorded two sacks during that series. The Eagles could not produce an answering score.

Williams' production extended beyond two short runs

The Rams' official report credits Williams with 80 rushing yards on 16 carries and 67 receiving yards on ten catches. Adding the two yardage totals gives 147 yards from scrimmage across those contributions.

His one-yard and seven-yard scoring runs account for eight rushing yards. The rest of his work came before or between those finishes, including receiving gains that helped keep the offense moving. Touchdown distances alone therefore give an incomplete picture of his afternoon.

Two seven-point possessions change the result

Each late touchdown possession added seven points after the extra point. Together, they lifted Los Angeles from ten points to 24 while Philadelphia stayed on 20. Both teams finished at 2–2.
