Rosalía performs Reliquia en pointe, then Magnolias in SNL return

The October 10 episode paired host Shane Gillis with performances of “Reliquia” and “Magnolias.” Rosalía's return was her third SNL appearance, including a 2021 guest spot, and her second solo musical-guest booking.

Rosalía returned to Saturday Night Live on its October 10 episode with two songs from her 2025 album Lux: “Reliquia” and “Magnolias.” Shane Gillis hosted. The first number used an en pointe performance, giving the musical segment a ballet element beyond the song selection.

The distinction in her appearance count matters. This was Rosalía's third appearance on SNL when her 2021 guest performance with Bad Bunny is included; it was her second solo musical-guest turn. Treating both descriptions as the same count can misidentify the milestone.

The opening number made posture part of the staging

Pitchfork reports that Rosalía performed “Reliquia” entirely en pointe. ELLE's account identifies pointe shoes and a black-and-white corset tutu dress by Erik Charlotte, connecting the clothing with the ballet presentation.

Those details identify the new televised rendition. They do not make this a new album release or establish a new recording of the song. Lux is the 2025 album; the completed SNL appearance is the new event.

A second song, with a different look

“Magnolias” followed as the second musical number. ELLE identifies its sheer dress as an Erica Myat design, separate from the outfit for “Reliquia.” The two performances therefore had distinct visual presentations within the same guest booking.

Cadena SER describes artificial rain during “Magnolias,” contrasting with the fixed en pointe stance of “Reliquia.” ELLE names Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo as the stylists. Together, the staging and clothing distinguish the two numbers; the contrast is within one episode, not between separate bookings.

Third appearance and second solo booking are compatible

Rosalía first appeared alongside Bad Bunny in 2021. Her solo SNL debut came in 2022 during the Motomami era. The October 2026 return adds another solo booking to that history, which is why the overall appearance count and solo count differ.

Boston.com's recap identifies the October 10 broadcast as the third episode of SNL's 52nd season, with Gillis hosting and Rosalía supplying the music. This is a later episode than the previously covered Turnstile appearance, rather than a shared booking with that band.

The performance titles identify the music, not the whole episode

Boston.com's recap lists “ROSALÍA: Reliquia (Live) - SNL” and “ROSALÍA: Magnolias (Live) - SNL” as separate entries under the musical performances. Readers searching for the music can distinguish those labels from a studio track, a monologue or a sketch with the same performer.

A recap's song links are not a promise of full-episode access or playback in every country. Use the individual song entries to identify the musical numbers; check the service's regional availability separately if you want the whole show. A full replay and a single performance are different viewing choices.
