PSG beat Lyon 2–0 as Mayulu and Godts turn a tight match from the bench
The match stayed scoreless until the 72nd minute, when two PSG substitutes delivered the goals that sent the club top of Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain beat Olympique Lyonnais 2–0 at the Parc des Princes after substitutes Senny Mayulu and Mika Godts scored in the final 20 minutes.
The result moved PSG to 17 points and first place after eight Ligue 1 matches, while Lyon remained fifth on 14 points.
Two substitutes broke the deadlock
Senny Mayulu, introduced in the 65th minute, scored from the edge of the box in the 72nd. Mika Godts, who entered in the 57th, then made it 2–0 in the 84th minute.
Lyon kept the first half competitive
PSG had early pressure, but Lyon created danger on the break. Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov denied Julien Duranville, and the match reached halftime without a goal.
The table changed at full time
The win put PSG top of Ligue 1 with 17 points from eight matches, one point ahead of Rennes. Lyon stayed fifth with 14 points after missing its own chance to lead the table.
The streak now stands at eight
PSG extended its winning run to eight matches in all competitions and five in Ligue 1. The club said it reached first place for the first time this season.
What the result does not prove
One late win does not settle the title race. The verified takeaway is narrower: PSG’s bench converted a scoreless contest into a 2–0 victory and moved the team top after eight league matches.
