Barcelona Women Beat Logroño 2-0 as Mayssa Baha Makes Liga F History

Mayssa Baha became Liga F’s youngest scorer before substitute Patri Guijarro finished a tense afternoon at Las Gaunas, keeping Barcelona perfect through five league matches.

Barcelona beat Logroño United 2-0 at Estadio Las Gaunas on Saturday, with 15-year-old Mayssa Baha opening the scoring in the 17th minute and substitute Patri Guijarro adding the second in the 71st. The win kept Barcelona perfect in Liga F at five victories from five matches.

The scoreline was cleaner than the game. Logroño stayed within one goal for more than 50 minutes and threatened an equalizer after halftime, including a Justina Morcillo effort off the woodwork. Patri’s finish finally gave Barcelona breathing room.

Baha turned a corner into a record

Barcelona controlled the early possession, but Logroño’s defensive shape kept the visitors from turning pressure into a quick lead. The breakthrough came in the 17th minute when Caroline Graham Hansen’s corner reached Baha at the near post and the teenager redirected it into the net.

Liga F’s official report lists Baha at 15 years, 8 months and 10 days and says the goal made her both the youngest scorer in the competition and the youngest player to score for Barcelona. That is the clearest historical consequence of the afternoon, beyond the three points.

Logroño made Barcelona defend a one-goal game

The home side did not disappear after falling behind. Before the break, Isina went close, and after halftime María Barquero and Cristina Redondo helped keep pressure on Barcelona. Around the hour mark, Morcillo hit the woodwork as Logroño pushed for 1-1.

That stretch matters because it explains why a 2-0 favorite’s win was not routine. Barcelona had more of the ball and more attacking options, but Logroño stayed close enough that one finish could have changed the match.

Patri’s substitute appearance supplied the release

Patri and Ewa Pajor entered for Barcelona after halftime. With Logroño pressing harder, Patri produced the decisive second goal: Liga F records it in the 71st minute, a lifted finish that beat the defensive line and goalkeeper María Miralles.

The official league report named Patri player of the match.

Five wins from five, with Real Madrid next

The official table after the match shows Barcelona on 15 points with five wins, 21 goals scored and two conceded. Logroño remained on six points after two wins and three defeats.

Barcelona’s official Liga F fixture list shows Real Madrid visiting on October 4, the next test of its perfect league start.
