Iberdrola raised its 2026 adjusted net-profit growth outlook to at least 10% after reported net profit for the first nine months increased 10% to €5.8 billion.

Adjusted net profit, excluding the capital gain from selling Mexican assets, rose 9% to €5.1 billion. The utility also targeted 10% average annual adjusted-profit growth over the next five years.

Profit rose, with a one-off inside the reported number

Reported net profit increased 10% to €5.8 billion. Adjusted net profit, which excludes the capital gain from selling Mexican assets, rose 9% to €5.1 billion. The two profit measures therefore should not be treated as interchangeable.

Investment concentrated in networks

Total investment rose 13% to €10.1 billion. Network investment increased 28% to €6.3 billion, helping lift the regulated asset base to €56 billion. Adjusted EBITDA rose 7% to €11.9 billion, led by 15% growth in networks.

The 2026 outlook moved higher

Iberdrola now expects adjusted net-profit growth of at least 10% for 2026, up from previous guidance of more than 8%. This is management guidance, not a completed annual result.

The 2030 plan remains forward-looking

The company targets average annual adjusted net-profit growth of 10% over the next five years, regulated grid assets above €90 billion and 15 GW of additional power capacity by 2030. It also proposed an interim payout of €0.275 per share, up 8.7%.
