HPE links EdgeConnect with Mist and Aruba Central—but on two timelines
HPE is combining EdgeConnect, Mist and Aruba Central under one AI-native operating framework. The capability is not arriving everywhere at once: Mist support is due during 2026, while Aruba Central support is scheduled for the first half of 2027.

HPE announced a unified operating framework spanning wired and wireless access, SASE and network intelligence. For customers, the important detail is timing: EdgeConnect integration in HPE Mist is scheduled during calendar 2026, while the Aruba Central integration is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
What HPE is combining
The announcement connects HPE Networking EdgeConnect with HPE Mist and HPE Aruba Central. EdgeConnect supplies unified SASE functions such as SD-WAN and security service edge integration; Mist and Aruba Central cover network visibility and operations across campus, branch and wireless environments. HPE presents the combination as one operating experience rather than a replacement of every product by a single console today.
Marvis sits across the operating model
HPE says EdgeConnect users will gain access to Marvis capabilities across the self-driving network. The announced functions include agentic actions, user-experience twinning and a Large Experience Model intended to predict and prevent application problems. These are vendor capability claims in a launch announcement; neither source reports independent performance testing or customer outcome data for the combined stack.
The delivery dates are split
The release gives two separate windows. HPE Mist support for EdgeConnect is scheduled during calendar 2026. HPE Aruba Central support for EdgeConnect is scheduled for the first half of calendar 2027. That wording does not establish a single worldwide date, identical feature availability in every tenant or immediate access to both integrations on October 27.
What existing customers should verify
HPE says existing Mist and Aruba Central customers will gain integrated access to unified SASE capabilities including application-aware routing, WAN optimisation, integrated security and SSE integration. Before treating the announcement as deployment-ready, customers should confirm which management plane they use, the EdgeConnect version and entitlement involved, the region or tenant rollout, and whether the specific integration is in the 2026 Mist window or the 2027 Aruba Central window.
