Devin Singletary scored on a 30-yard draw in overtime as the New York Giants beat the Houston Texans 27-21 on October 25. The winning run came one snap after Cam Skattebo advanced 42 yards to the Houston 30.

Houston had tied the game at 21 with 52 seconds left in regulation, but the Texans went three-and-out on the first overtime possession. Under the overtime sequence reported by both sources, the next score then ended the game.

Houston forced the extra period

The Texans punted on their first three possessions after halftime, then Stroud found Hutchinson for a 3-yard touchdown late in regulation. New York did not reach field-goal range before time expired.

New York won the field-position swing

Houston opened overtime with a three-and-out. McCarthy then found Malik Nabers for nine yards, and Skattebo’s 42-yard run moved the ball to the Houston 30.

The draw became the walk-off play

The Giants appeared positioned to center the ball for a possible field goal, but Singletary broke through the left side on the next snap and reached the end zone. Both reports identify the run as 30 yards.

The rushing contrast mattered

Skattebo’s 124 yards and Singletary’s finish helped New York reach 188 rushing yards. Houston managed a late tying drive, but its offense could not extend overtime after receiving the ball first.

What the result changes

New York improved to 4-2-1; Houston fell to 2-5 and 0-4 at home. One game does not establish a trend, but the late defensive stop and two consecutive explosive runs explain the result.
