German Soccer Network launches on LG Channels: what U.S. fans can watch
The free, ad-supported channel includes DFB-Pokal coverage starting with October 27–28 second-round games. Bundesliga clubs appearing in the cup does not mean the service carries the Bundesliga league season.

Cineverse announced German Soccer Network on October 12, making the English-language, free ad-supported channel available in the United States exclusively through LG Channels. The clearest upcoming viewing dates are October 27 and 28, when the DFB-Pokal reaches its second round. Fans should check the competition as well as the team name before deciding this replaces an existing sports subscription.
What has launched
The new channel is a partnership between Cineverse and Germany’s football federation, the DFB. Cineverse says its schedule will include DFB-Pokal coverage, 3. Liga matches and games involving Germany’s women’s national team. Its announcement describes a 24-hour channel with live matches appearing periodically, not continuous live football.
The stated distribution is U.S. availability on LG Channels. It is an English-language offering, funded by advertising rather than a separate channel subscription. That launch statement does not establish that every LG Channels market or every device carries this particular feed.
Bundesliga clubs are not the same as Bundesliga league rights
The announcement’s reference to Bundesliga teams can be easy to misread. Those clubs also play in the DFB-Pokal, a knockout cup separate from their league fixtures. Streaming Better explicitly reports that Bundesliga league matches are not expected on the new network. The safe reading is the competitions actually named, not a blanket promise of every match involving a familiar club.
The DFB’s own second-round announcement says all 18 Bundesliga clubs made it through the first round this season. That explains why top-flight teams can feature prominently in cup coverage without the channel carrying the league. Treat the network as an additional viewing option until its actual listings match the games you want.
Put October 27 and 28 on the calendar
Cineverse says its DFB-Pokal coverage begins with round two and continues through the May final. Independently of that distribution announcement, the DFB’s published competition schedule confirms 16 second-round matches on October 27 and 28, 2026. The match dates are therefore supported by the competition organizer, not just repeated from the channel launch release.
A round-wide schedule does not tell you which match a single linear feed will show at a given moment. Before kickoff, check German Soccer Network’s program guide for the chosen fixture and the displayed local time. This report does not promise simultaneous streams of every match, replay availability or an on-demand archive.
How to check access before match day
LG’s support instructions say to connect to the internet, open LG Channels from the television’s Home or Input/Source screen, and accept the applicable terms. The company says no separate account is required for the service. Use the channel list or guide to look for German Soccer Network, then verify the upcoming program rather than assuming that opening the app confirms a particular match.
LG also warns that support and channel lineups vary by model and country. Its guidance says the TV’s region should match your actual location. If the channel is missing, first check the applicable model and U.S. lineup; changing to a false location is not a verified solution. No channel number is supplied here because one has not been independently confirmed.
A practical addition, with a defined scope
For an eligible U.S. viewer, the useful change is another free route to scheduled German football coverage. The decision is fixture-specific: confirm the competition, the channel’s listing and device access before cancelling another service or organizing a watch party. An announced channel launch, an organizer’s match calendar and successful playback are three different checks; none should be treated as a substitute for the other two.
